We had a great couple of gigs at the end of last week. An absolute pleasure playing the Hackney Attic, and then a great gig at the Cellar in Oxford – the first gig we’ve ever had to do where our sousa player had to sit down because of the low ceiling! After playing an attic and a cellar in the space of two days, we really felt like we needed to play in a conservatory the next night, but alas none was forthcoming.
Here’s a video of the Oxford gig – if it sounds a bit loose, bear in mind it was our 2nd encore and our faces were falling off by that stage.
Oh, and Steve says if anyone found his battery pack and internet dongle at the side of the stage, he’d be over the moon if you could let us know!
We’ve got another couple of fun gigs coming up this month too; on the 21st we’re at Floripa (formerly Favela Chic), and on the 26th we’re back at our favourite south London pub the Trinity. Check out our gigs page for details.
We’ve been madly rehearsing a load of new material over the past few weeks, and we’ll be doing plenty of it at both gigs, especially the Trinity, where we’ll be doing a double set including ALL of our new stuff. Oh, and it’s free…
